I just purchased, second hand but basically brand new, the Photon V2. I have it over a 48" 120 which is 24" deep. It is hanging about 12" over the water. I am looking for a good setting for a mixed reef. Ideally a setting where all I need to do is slowly up the whites for acclimation. Has anyone dialed this light in yet?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170419/44ec381c7f2fb89c0cd5374c7a494e7d.jpg

You lucky dog! A used V2, I have to ask, why was the owner selling it?

I have a 50" V2 over a 125g, 60" long tank. I'll call it a mixed reef, but it's really aimmed at sps more than anything.

I like a long sunrise and sunset with very blue settings the first couple of hours and the last few hours. But that's just my aesthetic choice. Below is my current settings.

And this is my 6 month old tank. It's the rebuilding of a 180g reef I had for 6 years that developed a 30gph leak that wasn't repairable.

there's a spreadsheet in the FAQ's that you can bump the percentage up and it will change all the settings for you. At least I think its still there.

No red or greens?

No red or greens?

It's just my opinion, but I think the red and green leds are next to useless for the coral's health or growth. They get enough red and green from the white leds.

And I know for a fact that I don't get red or green shadow edges or red and green shimmer lines that most people call the disco effect with them turned off.

You see the corals in my tank. Mostly sps and lps and doing just fine without any red or green.
