Hi
When I mix vinegar to water and run a pump...after a while the stagnant water in the bucket gets a greenish grey layer on top...

Anyone experienced this before?

What's that layer...Is it a reaction of water, white vinegar from bjs...and some reef bacteria or fungi??
Thanks

Probably algae or something similar. Why are you adding water to the vinegar? Are you using it for carbon dosing?

No to clean pump....
I think it's a precipitated matter?[emoji51]

Bacteria, just like if you dose it into the water.

Good point...I thought it needed bad water for that with fish organics...

I guess they're everywhere!...
