hi guys so yesterday i bought a pink skunk clownfish and a green BTA as they told me at the shop that the clown would host her but apparently he didnt and liliked my pink long tentcale better (was told any clownfish would host the long tent) anyways doesnt bother me its still nice nem so its with me today is second day the mouth is abit opened but not gaping too much and the arms are bubbly as they should.

yestrday i located her on a stone thinking she would wonder maybe to another but she went directly undera stone and hanging to it. is it because she need acclimating? i fear she wont have enough light that way. also i did try to give her a little piece of shrimp and she took it and ate just before 3 hours. is that normal behavior(going under the stone)? my long tentcale never didnthat. she did move but unto another rock but not under it.

p.s its not 100% under stone but half way. this has been like this since yesterday evening. (she went inside the aquarium in the afternoon).

thanks in advance.

The anemone is the host not the fish..

Here is a link to which anemone will host which clownfish..

Anemones will hide where the want, my LTA stayed under a rock for several months until it decided to come out.. I would flip the rock and it would crawl right back under it..

well i do not have a problem with it staying there as i do not force any of my fish or inverts to go any where but wouldnt stay long time in one spot will be fatal soecially anemone who needs the light but doesnt get it because she is staying under a stone? other then that all her signs are good (mouth opened abit but not gaping or crazy open, taking food and eating).

It will move about as it needs to, until it finds a spot that makes it happy..
I will put some pics of mine in its hiding spot up when I get off work
