I bought some LR that have these mushrooms in the picture. Sometimes they lay flat on the rock, other times they fold up and off the rock. Does this behavior an indication of it's well being? Are mushrooms considered sps?

They should shrink up every night and expand in the morning with the light. If they are blowing around all day then they may be getting too much flow but in your picture they look fine.

they are not SPS, they are corallimorpharia or disk anemone. They are not grouped with coral or anemone.

I saw this thread and thought I would latch on - i have a blueberry mushroom that I bought about 2mos ago. It keeps getting bigger and bigger, but it hasn't split or multiplied at all. I am hoping to have a mushroom colony at some point...Is there a secret to getting them to multiply? The one I have is huge now. It has grown from about a half inch in diameter to almost three inches when fully open in the 2mos I've had it. My water parameters are good, I have moved him a couple times and determined he likes more light than less. So I am stumped as to what I need to do for it to start making babies

60g cube
Sal 1.025
Temp 79
DkH 9.8
Nitrate 0.00
Phos 0.25

Feeding twice a week with reef roids
he is in a low-med flow area in the center part of the tank - have had him lower and he won't open up when he is in a lower part of the tank

Throw it in a blender and pour that back in the tank..
You can always split them yourself..

Mine multiplied, detached and floated all over the place. I don't even feed them.

They look great IMO, just keep your eye on them. In the wrong hands they can become a problem. (like a Kenya Tree, Bubble Algae, Aiptasia etc) You can CONTROL this... GL.

I've never fragged anything before. I don't know how to do it and I am afraid I will really make a mess of it I try.

I personally just give away or sell the rock that they are on. They get too slimy to frag then and it's just a headache for me.
