I have been researching Peacock Mantis Shrimp for a while now with the help of some friends. Today one of my friends came across something online that said there's one large breed (maybe the largest) of mantis shrimp that you definitely don't want to own. He said it definitely wasn't any of the names for the Peacock. Does anyone know what this might be?

In the past I have suggested that people may not want to buy Gonodactylaceus ternatensis because of the destructive manner in which they are collected. (smashing coral heads) This may be what they are referring to.

Agreed! These are typically hitchhikers already inside live rock when you purchase it and they just ruin tanks mainly with fish in them. I had a GT and it wasn't bad by itself.
