This will be my first post and I am looking for some feedback on my new setup. I've recently sold my 55 gallon and upgraded (not by much) to a 69 gallon Red Sea Max E260. My original 55 gallon was already established when I received it. Therefore, I've never had to cycle a tank. I've decided to use dry pukani rock from BRS and caribsea special grade crushed coral. I'm currently not running my skimmer nor my lights. I would like some input as to how I should continue the cycling process. Here are some of my water parameters so far:

Day 1 5/8 - Started tank - (0.24 salt level)

Day 2 5/9 - (pH - 8.8) (Amonia - 0.25) (Nitrite - 0)

Day 3 5/10 - (pH - 8.0) (Amonia - 0.25) (Nitrite - 0) (Nitrate 0) (Added BIO-Spira)

Day 4 5/11 - (pH - 7.8) (Amonia - 0.25) (Nitrite - .50) (Nitrate - 10)

A buddy of mine told me to purchase a clean up crew and add them this weekend. He's fairly knowledgeable (he has a 400g sps tank) but I still feel it is too soon.

Anything helps! Thanks guys and I look forward to your input.
