Hello all fellow reefers.

I have got new lobophyllia frag from our local reseller. Its cutted piece of bigger coral. It looks, that it eats and when lights are low, zooxanthilae are shining with beautiful colors from deep green to orange.

My problem is, that after two days since I got it, I observed some strange thing in the middle of the LPS. Its white and looks like when snake changes its skin. Under the white thing the lobophyllia looks unharmed, but not sure.

Please, did you see something like that on your corals? Does someone know, what that can be?

Mesenterial Filaments perhaps?

Yes, looks like that. But it comes from outer part of the lobophyllia, not from its mouth as I would expect.

This morning I woke up and everything was ok, not any trace of yesterdays excess.
