View Full Version : Yellow Wrasse and Royale Gramma
I'm currently trying to get rid of some zoa nudibranchs in my 30 gallon tank and I want to get a yellow wrasse to help eat them but I don't know if it will get along with my royal gramma. Anybody have any experience with this? If they can't live together then are there any other reef safe wrasses that will eat the midis?

I kept a yellow wrasse and RG together without any issues

IMO, I would get the wrasse bigger.

I kept an almost 6" yellow wrasse with tiny RG that grew to about 3" and never had any problems between them. The yellow never bothered anything. Mine were in a 72x24 tank.

You will not have any problems with the fish. However, I do not think the wrasse will impact your zoa eating nudis either.

Personally I would pass, the Yellow Coris will get too big for the confines of a 30 gal and with the RG in there I would anticipate issue even though both fish are fairly passive.

Agreed on the 30 gallon aspect. Yellow wrasses swim a lot and need space.
