Biopellet reactor and hose question

I recently setup a biopellet reactor for my 210gal tank. I ordered an octopus BR-140 and they recommended the sicce syncra silent 4.0 pump. The pellets are tumbling fine now but I still need to add more pellets and I'm worried the pump won't be strong enough. The return hose that's going to my skimmer is about 3' long and the intake hose is 1.5'. My question I have is will the length of return hose slow the tumble of the pellets? Should I shorten it up?
