It looks like clownfish are itchy or something, a few times today they go over by the coral and start shaking for 5 seconds or so then swim away.

Treat them soon. Are the flashing?

That sounds like they may have Ich.
Were they quarantined prior to being introduced to your display tank?

Another cause may be that they are getting ready to lay eggs? I've seen some clowns go up to a coral or rock and shake and rub on the area to prep it to lay eggs. Maybe?

I agree, it sounds more like their mating ritual than Ich.

Are the fish eating well? If so then it's probably just a mating ritual like mentioned above.

the last thing i need is more fish. they are both eating well, they are like 2 years old, so i dont think it could be ich, nothing new in tank for a year.

They might lay eggs, but the chances of the fry surviving would be almost impossible unless you were able to separate them into a growing tank and provide the right type of food.

My clowns do this before laying eggs. FWIW, I have a perfect record of raising the babies - 0 for 500,000

Me too! I'm sure yours lay like clock work, mine definitely do.

I consider it free food!

Had issues with the host anemone a few months ago which apparently dampened the amorous spirit. They're back to it again now though. You're right, free food!
