I have a clear film that has developed on my live rock in the last two weeks. The tank has been running for 14 months and parameters are as follows;

Nitrates 1-2 ppm
AlK 9
CA 430
Phos 0
MAG 1430

I've had no allege issues for 6+ months and the tank has been stable with the parameters. Pic below, any idea of what it is and how to get rid of it? Toothbrush doesn't seem to remove it.

Thanks in advance,

Lester

What are your tests showing? I had a very similar problem that I left untreated which gradually turned into this. Mine stared like a clear fuzzy film. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170611/bb47e27d886a656a41fdcfb659ede8ce.jpg

It looks like some sort of fungus or bacteria IMO, although Chrysophytes is another possibility too though.
