My current tanks are 2 yrs old.

My parameters are stable.
I do 15% weekly waterchanges, feed reef roids twice a week, pellet, mysis, brine for the fish (alternating throughout week)

My nitrates sit around 2 the most 5 (salifert kit)

My phos is the issue. Its always read as 0 from The beginning. The only time I can get a reading is if I use water from the sandbed to test. Then it's 0.03

I have no algae issues besides the common film on the glass. No cyano, gha etc.

The rest of my parameters are stable.

Alk 8.7
Ca 400
Mag 1450
Ph 8.2

I dose esv bionic 2 part daily to maintain daily consumption.

Any idea why my phos has 0 readings from the water column?

Simply put... The Input = The Output.. (or input is less than or equal to output)
When input > output the levels will increase and you will have phosphate issues..
Same goes for anything..nitrate,etc...

Whats the problem? ;)
and which test kit are you using (salifert there too?) .. Many are really not that accurate in the low ranges

Could be fine ;new sand often sucks it up for a period of time.

What are you using to test? We used a Salifert and always got 0. Switched to a Hanna and got much higher.

Salifert kit is being used.

My tanks are 2.5yrs old, so sand isn't new.

My concern is the balance of p04 and n03. Not that n03 is high. Sits between 2-5.
