Is there any cheap epoxy I can use to aquascape my new 75 gallon. I hate the idea of drilling through the rock so I might have to go with epoxy. But looking at the awuascape I made it will take a massive amount.

BRS sells a concrete/mortar type stuff. I bought it but have not used it yet, but it supposedly works very well for aquascaping

Thankfully I haven't filled the tank yet so I can add everything dry and wait. Is there any cement I can use that I can get from lowes or hd

I think any hydraulic cement will work. I just got some with the rock I ordered from Marco. Maybe others have tried stuff from Lowes/HomeD

I think it will actually set underwater. But it cures very fast like an hour. I filled my tank a couple hours after I used it.

I did my scape in 3 steps

I setup everything on a table and left it in sections. (dry rocks)
I did a month+ long saltwater soak with heater + powerheads.
I did the final cementing and filled within a couple hours. (wet rocks)

Why did u soak the rocks for a month if the tank wasn't started already. Couldn't you have just cured the rock in the tank

I didnt have a tank yet. But yea you could do it in the tank. I did mine in a brute trash bin that I now use mix saltwater. There was a good bit of loose crud/dirt on the rocks and in the bottom of the bin when I was done. It was nice not to put that in the tank.

You might not even have to glue your aquascape together depending on the type of rock. Some Rock you can fit together like a jig saw puzzle, others will not and will not require glueing

I bought the Marco 400. I just wanted it solid as a rock[no pun intended] and didn't want to deal with the puddy. I hate spending that much on simple concrete but it will give me peace of mind

I think you will be happy with the e-400. I sets pretty fast so get everything placed / setup / ready and just stick it together after mixing. There are a couple good videos showing its use on youtube. The key for me was getting it not too thin ie puddy like

Thanks I'll practice with it before I apply. I bought the 10 pound bag for I have extra for the future. I did end up getting a stick of water weld but I absolutely hated It. It didn't hold the rocks together at all
