View Full Version : Salinity of Live Aquaria and Divers Den?

Hey Reefers,

I have not ordered anything from Live Aquaria or Divers Den before, do they still arrive in 1.018 and 1.025 respectively? That was the general consensus but I was only able to find threads from 2014. I know they were acquired by petco and some time has passed obviously so I am hoping people have ordered from them regularly in 2017. I would like to match my QT tanks salinity so that I can just temp acclimate. Also, what about snails?

Thanks!

Pretty much, yes. Last LA for me was 1.017, but DD is always 1.025.

+1, DD has always been 1.025 for me as well. I think the last time I ordered from regular LA (Almost a year ago) it read 1.019.

For fish it hardly matters. As long as the salinity is not below 1.016 you can bring fish directly to nominal ocean salinity. But it's a good idea to run a QT at a lower salinity anyway.

Inverts and corals are a different story.
