It's a candy cane coral being slime up due to stress (?)

Sounds about right, I accidentally whacked it while cleaning last night

Sometimes I have these brownish mini tubular worms that reside next to my candy cane and other corals releasing the slime in the water columm to fish for food then they pull the stringy slime now trapped wih food back in to their mouth. It looks similar to the pic above. But I see you have several slimy strings around that candy cane.

Candy cane usually easy to take care. Leave it alone and it will come back soon.
