So yet another problem occurred today and I just thought the trouble was past me[emoji36]. My foxface cut him self on a rock today. He is defiantly causing me a lot of issues. So here's a pic and any advice on what to do is much appreciated thanks. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170727/bdf016ccd2d8bf88cb5c98e1e74ceac3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170727/4ab52e4739e9b3233c0f23ef8c35f007.jpg

As long as your water quality is good then the cut should heal up just fine. Is it a new fish to the tank? I've always know foxfaces to be timid and sometimes flighty fish that spook really easily. As it settles in it should dart around the tank less, if it's a well established fish I'd, once again, just chalk it up to the timid nature. Either way I wouldn't be overly concerned

I've had this happen to my foxface a few times before. He'd get spooked, usually when trying to remove him or another fish from the tank, and scratch himself on a rock trying to get away. He has always healed up fine with no intervention from me.

They heal on their own.. Just leave it.. Its fine..

The real problem you have is your picture taking abilities :p

But thanks for the blur.. It makes me feel drunk..

Sorry for the image yeah he does get spooked a lot and swims in a lot of caves going in and out as he darts. I will let him heal thanks for the help.

Nature will deal with it. Messing with him could possibly make it worse. Most topical meds interfere with slime coat, which is nature's bandaid.

Yeah I will let it heal it self. Don't want to cause more issues while trying to solve one. Thanks

Feed him well and make sure he has safe hiding places...

Plenty of caves for him he like to use them a lot and he has a lot of algae and seaweed to feast on this plus mysis and flakes should do it I think.

as other said, he should heal fine on his own. Just watch for infection, bacterial and fungal.. you'll know if he has one.. it will look like fluffy cotton coming out of it.. or just red or white spreading out around the wound. As long as the water conditions are good he shouldn't get one.

I will watch for infections. He seems to be doing good so far. His cut was already white so I think it is a scratch on his skin not really a cut. You can see it in the picture and sorry for the late reply. Thanks
