View Full Version : What is this? Bubble Tip Anemone? More Aiptasia?

For the record, I honestly tried to look through the ID section to see if I could find this. It might be a bubble tip anemone but I'm not certain. Of course, I'm new to this and my tank is new so I imagine everything is Aiptasia, a flatworm, a mantis shrimp, etc.

What is this and...do I need to kill it?

Thanks!

I think it is a ball anemone. Safe to keep.

Yes, I meant "ball" not "bubble."

Good to hear I can leave it!

Hidden Cup coral.

There definately seems to be a calcerous skeleton there which would eliminate any and all anemones. Hidden cup is an excellent guess; could also be some kind of fat head dendro. Either way, target feeding of meaty chunks occasionally would be appreciated.

BTW, this is a COOL hitchhiker.

So cool! It's absolutely tiny. What kind of meaty chunk?

Piece of mysis shrimp or a small bit of raw clam is what I feed mine.
