Today I purchased a new frogspawn and placed it near my hammer coral. As soon as I did this a long, sweeper tentacle came out. It kept extending, and after a clown fish swam through some of it fell off. Next thing you know it released the whole tentacle in my tank. I happen to have it on video because I thought it was amazing that the tentacles came out as soon as the frogspawn was put in, however, I did not know this would happen! I can't figure out how to attach a video here but I included some photos. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170804/36ac95030b0b587a21e131dc16777e5b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170804/895d12079db1e447d5d87a2cd6e10573.jpg

Any ideas of what is going on? I thought frogspawns were okay with hammers.

New to the hobby so any advice would be great. As I am writing this post I see another sweeper extending!

Sure it's not poop? That's what it looks like to me.

Do the corals poop? Or do you mean fish poop? I watched it start very small and then get longer and longer out of the middle of the coral.

Oh wow I thought it was a tentacle and I was nervous! Just happened to occur at the same time. You learn something new every day I didn't know they did that [emoji23]
