Removing background on a prebuilt tank?

Hey All,

I'm looking to purchase a Red Sea Reefer, but don't want a black background (just want it clear through the back). I know the overflow will be black, which is fine, but the rest of it I'm hoping can be clear.

Any ideas on how I could go about removing the background? Has anyone done it before?

I'm thinking with enough rubbing alcohol or some kind of paint remover (only on the outside of the tank) it can be achieved?

I'm pretty sure it's just a film that you can hear up with the hairdryer and it will peel off. Someone else on here did that with there reefer.
