I have a Lemonpeel in QT right now that has a white dot right on the very end of its tail fin. He moves to fast for me to get any good still photos of him, so I took some video. The dot is about 2/3 from the bottom. You can view the video in full screen and still have good quality.

Any ideas what this might be?

Its very hard to tell but it could be lympho. Also not sure if you saw, but at the 22-23 second mark of the video I also see a few white spots on its left fin as well (if you pause the video and manually move it you will see it better). Might be ich or lympho. something to keep an eye on.

Thanks. after talking with others about the white dot, I'm 99.9% sure it is lympho. I'll take a close look at the left fin this evening. I kind of doubt it is ich since the LFS I got this guy from runs copper in their tanks. I don't know how long he as in the copper treatment, so it still could be. So thanks for pointing that out.

yeah just keep an eye on it. If its there for over a week and doesnt move/change its lympo. just keep in mind that most shops run a low dose of copper thats usually not strong enough to fully eradicate some parasites while just masking them.

I've noticed something else on its tail, this time on the side. It seems to be getting bigger/worse, but it's not a dot like the other. Here is another video (http://cofamjeepn.com/Aquarium/Vids/LP1a.mp4). It's hard to see it clearly, but at the first start he passes in front of the black filter tube and you can catch a glimpse of it. You can see it again throughout the video, but the last few seconds probably show it the best.
