Greetings fellow hobbyists

My gonio used to look like this

378373

Now it looks like this

378374

Any thoughts to why the polyps receded?

Thanks

Looks like you moved it. Could that be the reason?

Update:
Moved to frag rack with return pipe flowing gently - minimal extension

Moved to the sand bed barely any flow- TBA

Also make sure it's not too much light. Are you feeding reefroids or similar food?

Started reef roids yesterday, so too soon to tell

I've had gonis and alvapora and they did well on the bottom. I only have the Stuchberry now, which is a micro Goni, but I keep it on the bottom as well. Low flow.

Turn off power heads, return pump and target feed. It needs medium light and low flow

Everything you need to know about goniopora. Justin Credabel did some work with goniopora and I think there may be a few articles he wrote, and well he composed a song about it too!
