I've been using Instant Ocean Reef Crystals for 3 years and was told Red Sea Coral Pro salt is the best.
What everyone using ?

I've been using it and might switch to regular RedSea due to high Alk, you'll get ~11 dkh.

Lots of Tanks of the Month have run on Instant Ocean. I don't think any of the more common products are better than any other. You might find one that matches your target parameters better, though.

Yup, I use RedSea regular. For me it is perfect for Alk Cal and Mag. I determine which salt to use only by those numbers. Get the salt that will help you maintain those levels where you want them.

Currently I'm using Fritz and have really liked it. In the past, I've used almost brand at some point. I really enjoyed ESV's multi part salt. Takes a little more time and work but once you get your routine down, it's super easy. I'll probably switch back to it when this bucket runs out.

I use hw marine mix. I like the numbers it mixes too and the fact that it mixes so darn fast!

Kent marine. I like it because of the lower alk (8.5) and slightly buffered cal/mag.

I use this as well, but I am going to try Fritz next.

Plain jane Instant Ocean.

Little muriatic acid to bring down the ALK, and just a slight bump in MAG does me just right.

Why use the latest and supposed greatest when you could use a salt that been tried trued and tested for decades? Doesn't hurt its rather cheap.

Is this for real? I googled it and 200 gallon box for $32 at the doctors?

What do Mag and Calcium mix to?

I like a tank at 8 Alk but could adjust Kalk and Ca reactor for a salt at 9 - I use AWC and 4 gallons per day

What a great thread I run red sea pro and my alk stays at 12 even with not adding anything to the tank to maintain it in over a week
I have been told to switch salts to get alk down to around d 9dkh for dps which I want to keep

Years ago I was using SeaChem. Just got back into the hobby and for some reason SeaChem is gone. But just setting up a new tank now and cycling rock with Aquaforest Reef Salt. It's pretty cheap, the packaging looks cool, so giving it a try.

I'll be honest I don't even alter the alk of my IO with acid even though I run my tank at 7.0 dkh. A 10% water change gives me a negligible alk bump and my sps grow so fast it ends up evening out and not causing a cumulative upward trend

JTL

I like it because it keeps my big three stable and it is reasonably priced. I pay $55 out door at my lfs and I think I could even find it cheaper but I want to buy something from them on occasion.

Just started jury is still out, only reason I switched was the store was out and it was all they had, which is a really decent reef shop.
