Any ideas on how two make a DIY leak sensor probe? My thought prosess has resulted in 2 wires taped to the floor, I'm sure there has to be better solutions out there.

Steve Garrett uses two wires with alligator clips on the end attached to a dry square of Paper Town if the paper towel becomes wet in the circuit is closed and you get an alert

Here's mine. I used the same material as my ATS, except I got red for the sensors. I stripped the wires back probably 2"s, then wove it through the plastic mesh. Then, I went and carefully heated and dropped some solder on each wire to stiffen them up. I made each sensor cord a different length, 4ft, 6ft, and 8ft. Easier to place them around the tank.

The only thing I'm concerned is there copper in the ATS sensor?

I have a contiguious 2" lip around the base of my stand sealed with silicone and painted with exterior paint to contain spills. This is inside the stand.

No copper. Plus these are made for the floor, right?

ATS sensor?

ATS = auto topoff system?

Topping off my floor is one thing I am trying to avoid LOL

Misunderstanding, I meant ATS as in my algae tank scrubber, meaning the mesh I used.

I didn't mean I have them mounted in something. These are strictly for the floor ;)
