Well, this one never crossed my mind... I ordered a Red Mandarin from LA, listed as Medium (2"-3"). What I got measures 1 1/2". Not an issue otherwise, but even 2" would likely look much more tiny that I was thinking.

My only concern is I have a very large blue spot watchman goby. While a mandarin may not be a preferred food, I'm more worried about the "All fish are/can be opportunistic". Since the little mandy could easily fit in his mouth are odds high he will eventually become a snack? Or would the watchman likely just ignore it? I know their slim coat is at least somewhat poisonous/noxious, but no idea if it's just a minor irritation or a safe bet it won't be food.

The mandy is in my fuge for now, happily doing his best to clean it out of pods. Hoping it's safe enough in DT to not have to leave it there until it has grown a little more :(

Have you put him in the main tank yet?
