Hello,
I just purchased an Apex 2016 and I have a concern in regards of the possibility or not to control the heater which is connected to an outlet in a different room in order to avoid overcharging the power cables of the outlet that feeds the energy bar.
In older times it could be done with the X10 modules, but Im unsure now even if they exist.
Kind regards
Marco

The power bar only needs to be controlled through the APEX via the aquabus cables, the EB8 can be plugged into an outlet close to the tank the heater needs to be on.

Thanks but what if the EB8 will be near the tank but the heater will be connected to an outlet located 30 feet away from the tank with a 30 feet extension cable?

Apex can only control items plugged into an energy bar (Certain wireless kit excepted).

You would have to connect an energy bar via aquabus to where you want to plug the heater in. X10 is not compatible with the newer models.
