web like strands?

I cut a coral branch that has Zoas on them.
I cut them in a small container under water to avoid the toxins going into the air.

What are these fine web strands?

I saw Zoas spraying toxins out so I know what that looks like

My skimmer produces lots of micro bubbles so the bubble are attaching to
to these web like strands. I have been trying to suck them out with turkey baster
