So I added a foxface to my 125 gallon reef tank that had a melanuras wrasse and a lavender tang in it, as well as a few other small fish. My lavender tang completely lost it on my foxface and routinely beat him up everyday. I just removed my tang the other day and noticed my melanuras wrasse (which has never caused any trouble) start to nip at the same foxface. Could this be because my foxface is already weak from the first beating? Or could this be a territorial issue? It's also worth noting that I removed EVERYTHING from my tank last weekend and reaquascaped the entire tank and re-added the foxface first with all of the lights off. Any help would be appreciated.

You might can try the mirror trick. That's Tangs are recommended to be introduced last.

The tang isn't the problem. It's the wrasse picking on the foxface now. You may consider an acclimation box for the tang for a while.
