Has anyone found a way to add water protection to the Cree XML2 dies in moist/high humidity environments? Many thanks!

Splash shield, or a lense?

Could do a conformal coating, after masking off the emitters.

These really shouldn't be directly exposed to water, I do not run without a cover glass or splash shield, and any commercial fixture will run one too.

^^ thats it..
Splash shield or conformal coating..

They have optically clear conformal coating too that can be applied right over the lens too..

the problem is that, whatever you, if water is getting to it, it'll get caked in salt over time.

I use a think plastic shield but I need to clean it regularly.

Best case is to raise the lights enough to avoid splashing and have the guard in case of accidental splashing.

If you need to raise it, maybe you need to get a proper lease for the emitter else you will not get the PAR you want
