Is there any type of screen that is made for the top of the tank i had one jump out,That would not hurt the lighting

I use the clear 1/8" netting from bulk reef supply. Based on my PAR meter, I think it drops the total light a few percent, more than zero but pretty minimal. Small price to keep all my fish underwater :)

If going for a sleek looking top that actually looks good though, contact Artfully Acrylic, they make good looking lids.

Agreed. With this quality around, doing a DIY is crazy.

1000% accurate. The DIY stuff is nice and cheap but you cannot beat the quality of their work and it's not really that pricey.

I'm a believer. I had a DIY cover over one of my tanks. It was OK but certainly not nice. I chose Artfully Acrylic for a custom cover for my frag tank and couldn't be happier. The quality is second to none.

Here are a few other pictures. You can see how there are support tabs machined into the poly carbonate frame.

You can see the way they did the lid to fit around the overflow on this tank.

A shot showing the whole lid.

Best choice so far. A bit pricey but definitely seems worth it
