I tried to get some scratches out of my 400 gal acrylic on the outside front,I used 1000 grit then 1500,to 2000
I used my dwalt buffer on 2500 rpms. now when the lights are off and I look side ways I can still see some sanding marks. what grit should I use?

What I really need is the product to use what type of polish and buffer speed also do I use a cutting pad or black final wax pad? Thank you.

Most of the acrylic polishing kits go up to 12000 grit

I've used them by hand with good success. I would be careful with a buffer so that you don't remove too much and make it look wavy.

If you are comfortable using a buffer I always used Meguiar's with a foam pad at a lower speed.

I used this with a drill

Nice in that you don't need to actually be flat to the surface, although if you are doing an inside buffing job you'll have a hard time getting inside corners.
