Did my emerald crabs mate?

So this morning my wife noticed the emerald crabs (we have 2, one much larger than the other) anyway she noticed the large one on top of the small one. Up until now they have always kept a good distance between them, and I had read that they will fight to defend their territory. So I'm curious, were they mating? And if so what should I expect?

Probably did mate. Mainly you can expect some free fish food. They are not possible to raise without a lot of equipment and effort. I'm not sure if it has been done or not with Emerald crabs.

Do a google image search for crab with eggs(ignore the fantastic looking breakfast's that I will try next time I have leftover crabs)
