If anyone out there ever needs to bond plastic with glass I highly recommend the JB Kwikweld. See pic. I tried epoxy, sealant, crazy glue, silicone, silicone especially made for ponds, and a couple of other products. Nothing worked, nothing stayed permanently. Put this stuff on which I use here and there for auto purposes and bam! Only way it's coming off now is with a hammer.

So, just FYI if anyone is doing anything that requires plastic to glass binding. Also, scrape and rough up the plastic piece which will make the bond that much stronger.

Isn't it basically epoxy?

It is as I understand it but I used epoxy which I picked up at Home Depot and didn't bond. Not sure if the chemical compositions are the same, didn't bother looking it up.

Was it a two part epoxy?

Yes, loctite epoxy that comes in a double syringe.
