I am about to purchase a new aquarium for the purpose of setting up my first reef tank. There's so much to take in compared to freshwater tropical fish keeping that my head is a mess with all the information I'm trying to take in. Anyway, I'm taking a step by step approach and I'm going to take my time. The tank I have opted for is 340 litres. The measurements are 120cmx53cmx53cm.

I intend to start simple and will be going with soft corals that are supposedly much easier to care for. I've been looking through different lighting options and have stumbled upon one which is in my desired price range and from what I have read, is suitable for a tank my size. The unit is called V2 iLumenAir 900 Connect 170w.

Does anyone have any experience with this unit and am I correct in thinking it would be a good match with my tank?

Also if anyone could recommend better/more cost effective options that would be great.

Thanks, much appreciated. Looks like a great recommendation, I just can't seem to find them in the UK. I'll keep looking though. 👍🏻

Looks nice. I've been using ecotech radions, a little overpriced but I haven't had an issue.

UK - that sort of throws a spanner into the mix.
I believe Evergrow is the same company .
