I have a self drilled tank with a 1/2 inch bulkhead being used as my return. I ran a schedule 40 elbow from the bulkhead and pvc cemented them together.

My problem is there is a tiny leak at the elbow and bulkhead joint. Now that I have cemented them together how can I plug that leak?

The tank is currently up and running.

For the return line I wouldn't try to patch any leaks, since it is pressurized. I would pull the bulkhead and redo it.

If it was the drain line, I would say sure throw some JB Water weld or something on it and call it a day.

That's just IMO though.

What James said.

You're going to have to cut the elbow, take the bulkhead out and replace both.

Depends on how bad the leak is. Often they will self seal if truly tiny; though perhaps a bit less likely on a pressure line. You could also try turning off the pump, draining the line and dabbing some solvent over the leak. Absent those, cut 'n replace.

well that is what I was afraid of.

If it were mine, I'd have a do-over. Even a little salt creep bugs me and looks terrible IMO.
