Ok I know this has been answered before. But here goes again.

I have my Ecotech radion 4 lights.

1. I known I can buy the track and pay top dollar for them. Simple solution

2. I can buy aluminum and drill them my self. Cheeper but some work

3. I can buy the aluminum that has the groove in it and then have them slide.
Would this be going to far to do this

4. I need to buy the wire that you can pull up the light to work on tank if needed

Feedback and other solutions

Oh tank is 7 feet long by 24 inches

In a fish room so I can mount from ceiling

If lifting the light for maintenance was a need of mine then I would mount them all to some aluminum extrusion (80/20 or similar) and hinge it or similar..

I sure has heck wouldn't pay $40 for those cheap hanging kits you show in the pic..

1/2" aluminum c-channel looks good and is easy to drill and shape the ends so that they look finished.

I mounted mine with long bolts from the canopy. Worked great
