I am in the process of buying a new aquarium. I am down sizing from a 180 to a 90 gallon(reef). I have always had dark wood or Black stands/canopies. I am thinking about going with a white setup. Are they easier to keep clean? My black stand shows everything( every spec of salt). Thanks for any advice

Yes and no. It shows less salt spots but more dirt. Yuou have to whipe them down frequently which is ok as long as the finish can withstand it.

Regular paint eh. Gloss white acrylic stands look awesome.

I have a white to off white glossy wood finished stand and canopy. I only wiped it down twice in 8 years when I moved the tank. I think the glossy finished, and it is not white like white paint hide the dust well.
