I have a FOWLR tank, 90 gallon with plenty of swimming space and plenty of hiding spots. Sunday, I brought home a Blue Star Leopard Wrasse from the LFS. I purposely researched this fish and decided on it and all the compatibility charts said it would be fine. Well, my long nose hawkfish decided he doesn't like this fish. And much to my dismay, the new leopard wrasse has very similar color as the hawkfish. Not really a match in color but I guess enough to make my hawkfish think she was another of his kind. Anyway, the hawkfish won't leave her alone from the time I put her in there. Is there anything I can do to make this hawkfish less territorial? We were thinking of taking him out for a bit and then putting him back in in a few days so he becomes the new fish but not sure if that will work. Anyone have any suggestions? Or do I need to rehome one of them? I have read these leopard wrasses get stressed easily. Judging how much its stressing me, she should be at her limit soon. :hmm5:
