A client had this clown not doing so well so I said I would take it from him.

It appears to be a type of fungus but just not sure the best method of treatment. I have a feeling he is a bit to far gone but would like to give it my best shot!

Yep. Fungus.
Get some API Fungus Cure asap. Pretty easy to use - follow directions on the box. Also wouldn't be a bad idea to get some Dr. G's antibiotic caviar to prevent any secondary bacterial infection.

Can you post a better picture? It’s hard to see at that angle and through a Tupperware. Fungus in saltwater is very, very rare.

It's looked like he has a black/grey soulpatch(black grey fuzz on bottom lip) and it's just gotten bigger and worse over time. And he told me to come get him

I would try and treat him with kanaplex. If you don’t see it getting better in a few days, add in furan 2 and metroplex. Even though they may look fungal, more than likely it is a bacterial infection. If 10 days of treatment does not work the I would try API fungal.

This all needs to be done in a hospital tank. None of it is reef safe. Being that it’s getting worse, his immune system isn’t able to fight it off so I would act fast on the treatment.

That does look like mouth fungus but Justinm is right fungus in saltwater is rare if you do treat with Kanaplex you can add paraguard with it for one two punch on bacterial and fungus. You can even run furan2 with both of those

Thank so much for the advice guys. I will be looking into all of this...i needed to catch him and scrape what I could off to free his mouth up :( his bottom lip essentially rotted off from this disease whatever it may be. The growth was filling his mouth not allowing him to eat...he is still alive but not eating yet I will try the treatments listed. Thanks so much again
