I got a new BTA on the 26th. I've learned a lot about BTAs, so I've done the follwing to acclimate it:
Switched to reef pro salt (instead of the regular Red Sea salt I was using before).
Made sure the water was pristine at 1.026 salinity before thinking about getting one.
Drip acclimated it for an hour.
Lowered the brightness on my lights by 50% and gave it 3 weeks to ramp back up. It opened up and streched towards the light initially.
Moved the powerhead to give it more flow, but not direct flow. It seemed to like that. It opened up soon after.
Haven't fed it yet, and won't for a week or so to not stress it.
Right now it doesn't look so good. It's kind of upside down, kind of touching the ground and it doesn't look fully inflated. Here's a bad picture: https://imgur.com/cKTQ5MO
Can you tell anything by the picture? Can you think of anything else I could be doing? Is is too early to tell anything yet? I don't want another BTA dying on me, (I didn't have a good enough light for the others; the last one I lost in a power outage) so I'm trying to do whatever I can for it as soon as I can.
