Radios Gen 3 Pro vs Gen 4

Curious...are there any real advantages to upgrade from the Gen3’s to the Gen4’s? Other than cost increase?

It depends. To each their own on this kind of stuff. If you are happy, then stay put. If you are really unhappy, then a move to a G4 might not help much and you might need to move to another type of light. If you just want to see what the newer stuff is all about and love to upgrade, then the G4 is probably right for you.

I have no direct experience with either, using Hydra 52's, but I know two people who have upgraded from the 3's to the 4's and the biggest noticeable change is the spread (coverage) with the 4's.

I would say if you don't already own the 3's and are deciding on what to buy, I would recommend the 4's based on their feedback.

Otherwise, as jda said, if things are growing well and your results are good, why change it? Stability is key.

Got a good deal on a (3) Gen3 pros...tank isn’t running yet . Tank dimensions are 44”x36” and was going to supplement with T5’s.
