I just haven't made my reef tank a priority in the last year. It's literally been taking care of itself outside of me throwing in food once or twice a week. I've only few the RBT 3 times in the last year. No water changes. I'm just topping the water off. Here are some pics. I use to think I wanted a tank that was wall to wall corals. Now I want to be a minimalist. lol

Newbies tend to start with softies, as I did. They soon learn that they can overtake a tank in short order. My tank became a mass of blue mushrooms which I took to the LFS for store cred and rock replacement. I have gone SPS.

Your tank looks good though and many people like a softie tank. Lots of options in saltwater.

If you consider stonies, they will demand more than just a casual relationship with you.

A little cleaning up / pruning to do, but it looks like a healthy tank. I like that wrasse.

It looks surprisingly good. Softies prefer a less than pristine environment. Not so much with LPS/SPS

Interesting, could you describe the equipment, photo period and any food/supplements etc? Trimmed down could easily look even better. Neat to see what thrived and what didn't. Its got character.

I think the tank looks great.

I’m thinking of switching the color spectrum to blue to slow down the growth. One thing I’ve realized is people feed bubble tips way too much. These get fed 6 times a year.
