Hi I’d like to know if anyone has successfully kept Aracana Ornata or aka Ornate Cowish? How long did it live?

I have done some research but I am getting mixed answers from the internet.

Some say it’s supposed to be kept at 55 to 65 and others say now it’s caught in shallow water so 74/75 is okay.

Please shed some light if you have experience with them, thanks.

People say it will live at 75, but it won’t. Just cause it’s caught in shallow water doesn’t mean it’s warm water. Southern Australia gets the Antarctic currents. This fish comes from South Wales, near Tasmania. To keep it successfully it has to be cold water.

Even Live Aquaria will tell you the water temp should be cooler, if they are selling one.

+1 fish has to kept in 65 degree water which involves a chiller. They are best left in species only tanks
