Ceasing Mushroom spread

First of all I love my red mushrooms, but they are really beginning to spread too much. I would like to know if there are any corals that I can place on the edges of my mushroom colony that will impede their growth. Thanks!

Not sure how big or what sides your trying to block...but I used to expoxy small chunks of rock on the edge of my mushroom/zoa rock. The mushroom/zoas would grow onto the chunks...then I'd just pull them off and sell them to local reefers. Put new rocks in place and repeat. They could never grow past my "rock chunk" barrier...so to speak.

I only had one side that I had to worry about...so like I said might not be practical for your situation...just a thought!
