I've heard different opinions and wanted more input. Anyone?

I have all three in my tank and they never bother my clams unless its going down hill. Ive had a few clams that Ive lost over the last year and as soon as it starts to go they are on it! The healthy ones are never messed with though. As soon as a new clam is introduced expect every one to come nibble on the shell for a while.

I have a teardrop 3 maximas and a Crocea....they all live together with about 7-8 peppermint shrimp and 2 cleaners. So far so good. No issues with the shrimp.

I have 10 clams and a single cleaner shrimp. The shrimp has never bothered any of them.

NO problem with clams but I had a pair of Coral Banded shrimp that tore a cleaner shrimp to pieces as soon as the lights went out.

when i added two of my clams a few of my cleaner shrimp were bothering them for a few days. i took the offending shrimp out and am left with 2 blood shrimp and a skunk cleaner. i have had no problems since.

Shrimps have very keen sense of smell. Once they detect signs of death, they go for it. This make people think they attack but they are merely doing housekeeping. This is not only true with clams, even fish that are dying won't be spared.
