Why not run it and see? I remember I used to have a swc180 in my 210 and worked great.

Use the SWC Extreme. It will work good for a 125 gallon even if you have a medium to high bio load. Plus this will save you money. Why shell out $250 when what you have will work great.

Just what mentioned above, try it out first before replacing

It’s not so much about the size of the display but more about the load. Skimmers need dissolved organics to generate a good foam head and are typically rated based on theoretical loads. This means you need fish and or food for the source of dissolved organics. The SWC is rated at 125G-250 gallons. If the ratings are even close, that skimmmer will support a 125 gallon display with a truly heavy fish load without issue. The industry considers a truly heavy load as about 1/2” of fish per display gallon. Most people don’t have anywhere near a truly heavy fish load in an SPS tank.

Bottom line.. For a 125 gallon display, that skimmer will be plenty large to support anything you throw at it in that size display.

I ran a Bubble Magnus 5 a few years ago and hated it. It was very difficult to dial in.

I've been running a Aquamaxx EM200 for a few years and I love it. It is discontinued but they have newer models.

Lifereef SVS3 24 is a great skimmer. You may want to consider
