So I picked up a frag/plug at the LFS of some beautiful star polyps but alas they have hair algae in between the polyps.

Two things...I'm worried it's going to spread into my tank and what would be the best way to remove it without harming the polyps? Tweezer it out as best I can? Ugh...

It's night time so my lights are blue atm, but here's a pic of them :( You can see they are angry in that front area in particular.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180126/13b2a1b99599dda7ae614c3fe1469462.jpg

uhg, thi salgae is such a pain. I've had it for months. once it starts growing it's practically impossible to get rid of. I've washed and scrubbed all my plumbing, sump, wave pumps, and hand picked up as mucha s possible and it's still there.

I'd definitely try to remove it as quickly as possible because it spreads like wild fire.

If that doesn't work, lights off for 3 days kept mine from spreading anymore.

That won't hurt the polyps?
