Some type of spongeSome sort of soft coral I believe, was in soft coral section. Apparently it could go upside down if I want.

It looks like a Carnation coral IMO. (Dendronephthya sp?) These are non-photosynthetic corals and are actually pretty difficult to keep. The problem usually lies in providing them with enough food to sustain them long term.
