Hi Guys,
So Im super new to the hobby. Ive been piecing together all the supplies I would need. Heres a list:

125 gallon reefer
42 gallon triton sump
reef octopus 200
reef octopus varios 8
2-MP40's
2 hydra 52's
130lbs of live rock (Fiji, Pukani, Tonga)
Apex 2016
Apex DOS x2

Im hoping someone can point me in the correct direction to start the tank, tips pointers so I don't kill everything. How long would you recommend cycling the tank before adding livestock etc. Any and all help welcomed.

Best,
John

One big thing you are missing from that list are the test kits. Get test kits!

You can start with the API Master Salt Water kit to get you through the cycle. After that most of us use Salifert, Red Sea, Hanna, etc.

The search feature on this forum is a great tool.

Not sure if you really need test kits with Triton as you are paying $30-40+ all the time for routine testing..
