I was told the reason perhaps my DI goes fast is because may have high levels of co2 in water source. How do I test if this is the case? Thanks

Until someone can provide better research than I have found I think that degassing business is a myth.

What’s the TDS of the tap?
What’s the TDS going into the DI?
What’s the pressure going into the RO2
What is the water temp?
What’s the rejection rate of the membrane?

I have to check tap but last time I had handheld it was like 430. Guess its time to buy a handheld one. TDS going into DI is 18; Pressure like 59 psi just before 60; I have to check water temp; I think rejection rate of membrane is 98% its the brs value ro/di.

water temp like 60 degrees; I read somewhere that temp of water is ideal at 77 degrees; so Should i put it more on the warm side of the faucet?

How old is the membrane?

Brand new unit. Made about 40 gallons only and DI resin already about 1/4 is brown already.

There are test kits for measuring carbon dioxide...

and more..

Degassing has proven itself time and time again.. Not sure what research bent has seen contradicting this well known issue..

So what I understand is to make RO water to a trash can or bucket use something like a maxi jet 400 for 24hrs than use like a doser pump to DI Canisters is that correct?

There has never been sufficient scientific study on the treatment of well-water. There are loads of anecdotal data and claims made by companies selling degassers with zero scientific research to back it up.

Unless it exists somewhere and I’ve never seen it.
