I’m currently running a cobalt neotherm and I haven’t had any issues but there are plenty of horror stories out there. Looking to buy a reliable accurate heater. What are the top heaters out there?

I saw a video on a finex titanium with a temperature control on a premium aquatics video. That is what I am gonna order. Look them up on YouTube looks worth it to me.

Bulk reef has the Titanium that can be controlled with an Inbird unit.

They have 300, and two larger sizes.
Get stuff on sale for the Holiday sales if your patient.

INK306T Model Inkbird controller.

Glad I saw this thread. I was thinking about getting a neotherm in the future as I saw that they are supposed to be rock steady when it comes to keeping the same temperature. Didn't know about all the failures.

Looks like I'll stick with the finnex titanium though.

Ehiem Jager. It has been considered a high quality heater for many years. Personally after having so many All Glass Aquarium, Aqueon, Finnex and Top Fin heaters fail or die on me Jager is my only choice. I also run then on a controller for additional safety, Reef Keeper or Apex take your pick.

I've used Ehiem for a number of years with no issues. I did replace a couple in that span of time and I chalk that up to age. Mine are controlled by Apex.

I run 2 finnex titanium heaters, definitely the way to go.

IME they all work and they all have some flaws. (bad apples) It's just a roll of the dice... GL.

I also use two 300w Finnex Titanium heaters - since October '16 - controlled with a DA Archon. I use Jagers in my quarantine tanks and my mixing container.
